3Poor proportions...  Jul 21, 2011 By Timothy Maides
While i could tell this was a cheap-o version of a Swiss flag, i wish they would post an ACTUAL photo of the product because on arrival it's obvious the flag isn't the right proportions, the white cross is much to fat.

5neutral zone  Jan 27, 2013 By m.fraley
This flag was perfect! I bought it for a friend who was having some neighbor problems. He hung it from is flag pole to let everyone know he was neutral. It was so funny.

4Gets the Job Done  Jul 07, 2011 By International Man
I bought this flag as a decoration for my International themed apartment. Thus it was hung on the ceiling and only flown when this country had a national holiday. For my purposes the price was great and it was good enough for me. However, if you are looking for an authentic high-quality flag, this product is not for you. To put it simply, this flag worked for a poor college kid, but it wouldn't be flown in Switzerland.

1Never forgive, never forget  Mar 08, 2013 By Ashtar Command "Seeker"
Today is March 8, International Women's Day.

Today we "remember" Switzerland, the little peaceful nation in the Alps with their strong middle class and advanced direct democracy...

Except for one not-so-tiny detail. Switzerland didn't grant women the vote until...1971. You heard me. Not 1771. Not 1871. Not 1917. But 1971???!!!

One of the cantons, the admittedly puny territory with the forbidding name Appenzell-Innerrhoden, didn't give women the right to vote on local issues until 1991. And that wasn't the result of a change of heart at the local folk assembly, naaah. It was forced upon the recalcitrant, adrenaline-filled males by the Swiss Supreme Court. Sounds familiar? I didn't know they even *had* a Supreme Court in this sexist, conservative, re-localized paradise!

Switzerland, you may finally have entered the early 20th century, BUT WE STILL REMEMBER THE TALIBAN OF EUROPE.

PS. The national flag on this product page is wrong. Everyone knows the real Swiss national flag is a perfect square. But sure, the "admiral of the Swiss fleet" apparently uses a rectangular flag. I can only hope that the democratic Swiss (or at least their Supreme Court) have given women the right to become admirals...

:P
