3Psuedo-MRE's....close but not quite...  Jun 06, 2011 By Jay E. Raxter
I know these are packed by the same people who make real MRE's, atleast that's what posted all over the internet, BUT...they are several problems with these.

1. No heaters : No where does it say that. No biggee, you can get a hexamine stove for cheap but you'll have to carry extra water and a vessel to boil the food in. Not a huge hit but it was the first indication that all was not what it should be.

2. Menu selection : This is a good or bad thing. I (luckily) got 3 meatloafs, 2 Beef Enchilada, 2 Chicken, broiled, 2 chick w/tomato sauce, and 3 Beef Stew. God Forbid I had got 3 Veggie Burgers or (gasp) 3 Ham/cheese Omelets (yuck). Not only that but the desert (chocolate cookies) and the Cracker w/ Apple Jelly was in EVERY packet...every single one had them. I know these are supposed to be camping or emergency rats...but some variation would have been nice. No bread (poppy sead or regular) and no cake loaf (lemon)...no fruit, no nuts...no nothing. OH..and they ALL had beverage, orange flavor..that's it...no coffee and no fake milkshake mix. These are definetly COST CUTTER MRE's!

3. The supposed 'real' accesories pack : One thing the internet lauded about these Superpaks was the access pack is the same as the military MRE's...NOT any more. I got a 3 tan kleenex's as my 'napkin'...a salt pack, a pepper pack, a wipe, a spoon (close but not exact).

4. Price : $74 delivered is ok. You can get REAL MRE's (I know they're illegal to sell but they are everywhere) for $85-$95 shipped. OR..You can go to any nice sized gun show and pick up cases for $70. So these were OK...but still NOT a deal..

3 stars...just "ok" is all I can say.

On the upside they were freshly made...so I can get some life out of them...which considering they are all orange drink, apple jelly, chocolate chip cookies...It will probably keep me from eating them.

Update: I just noticed the $57 Surepak page is NO LONGER ON AMAZON...I was directed to this page for my review. This page DOES say NO HEATERS...but $93.50????? REALLY?? Get real MRE's of that "bid" site for a lot less...

5Not bad for a MRE!  Feb 23, 2010 By C. Perez
i tried these MRE's for the first time. Chicken Noodle. with the chemical heater. simple instructions to use. In a matter of 10 minutes i had a hot meal. Loved the sweeter you add to a 20 oz bottle of water. Made it taste like sweet Kool-Aid. After the main entree. there was dessert. Crackers with grape jelly and a big m&m cookie I was stuffed by then. But i still had left the coffee and sliced apples. i polished them off. And man I was full. I don't know how soliders can eat more then two of these bad boys a day. i recommend this brand. i ordered me up som moe. Word of warning. the chemical heater does create a stank. i recommend if you use it do it out doors and remove the entree entirely from the hot water so i does not remain in your nostrils for the rest of the day. use the cardboard to hold the hot entree and eat up!!!!

2Ummmm... No yum  Jul 17, 2011 By JKmaster
These will do for emergencies and keep you alive. But, if you're prior service and want MREs like you used to get when you were in, these are NOT them. The main dishes are (quite frankly) frightening. Some of the entrees are crazy. Nowhere do you have the typical spaghetti, beef stew, chicken & rice (chicken ala king) or those other greats from your Army days. Instead, they get too fancy with items that smell off. Maybe I'm being nostalgic for the actual MREs but again, the price was good and these will keep you alive for emergencies, hunting, overland, SHTF or Bug out Bags etc. I will not be buying this particular brand again. I'll pay the addl $11 for the next ones.

2Are they NUTS with that price?  Jun 04, 2006 By Kevin R. Richardson "kevinrrichardson"
Yes, this is the best brand of MREs out there, Sopacko, but this seller has an insane price. Other Amazon sellers, even, have these for $69 a case.

1No heaters!  Jan 27, 2013 By Blue Wave 91
No heaters included! Unless you like eating cold MREs do not buy this product. Its crazy that they would sell these as MRE's with no heaters included.
