This is probably better suited for a very small child's costume or as a decorative prop. (I wanted to return it, but my refund would be less than both shipping costs combined, so it's really not worth it.) The plastic is incredibly thin and when extended, it was badly curved. We didn't even bother to put batteries in it once we saw how bad it looked extended. Toy stores offer more durable basic lightsabers for 10 bucks and under. They don't light up, but they have a much better appearance than this. I saw some of the previous reviews for it weren't exactly sparkling, but I thought I'd try my luck. No big deal; I'll know better next time. :) Anyhow, it's flimsy. The handle looks pretty cool, but that plastic on the lightsaber part itself is beyond bad.
