By Joe They are yellow and I call them piss dice and they made my sorcerer put a lot of jerks to sleep. Long live piss dice.
good dice Mar 18, 2013
By Joe These are your basic dice. There is nothing wrong with them quality wise. They are of good quality and they are the perfectly balanced dice of good weight.
Quality Control Lacking Mar 09, 2013
By T. Gaines This will be a review attached to 5 sets of Chessex transparent dice - the green, red, yellow, blue, and purple:
I'm not sure if I recall reading in the review that I was paying for a subpar product. Yes, I realize it's only $6, but it's also ONLY plastic dice.
While in each batch there were usually some decent dice, there were also some dice that should have NEVER gotten through the quality control person -- IF such a job exists.
Many dice had scratches that were then filled in with white paint*, many had numbers that were only partially filled in, many had edges that were chipped and subsequently painted white as well.
In order to understand why a chip or scratch would get filled in, you have to understand that they carve the numbers in the dice then drop them in huge vats of paint. Then after they dry they tumble them in sand to get the pain on the outsides off, but any scratches usually retain their paint.
I also noted on some of my dice that there were obvious uneven surfaces (thankfully it was on a lower number) but if I were a DM, I may think twice before letting my people play with Chessex dice, because while it may be seen as being overly picky, I want my players to have a fully fair -- and random -- experience.
I will not be purchasing anything further from Chessex.
I love them. Dec 04, 2012
By Ada The price is good, the shipping is fantastic, they look awesome. And I will be back to buy more till I fill my bag. 5/5!
You get what you pay for Apr 20, 2012
By Justin These were cheep and yetr still interesting looking dice I could find. When I got them I was a little disapointed. They have white marks on them and not all the sides are really flat. But they work just fine and I didn't really pay much for them, so all in all I am pretty happy with them.
