A gag gift? Not really, terrific grip! Jul 21, 2007 My mom knows I'm a Cowboys fan, so she sometimes uncovers some real finds, like stockings of a Dallas Cowboy, or a mug, or Bugs Bunny as Troy Aikman. This year I got a Dallas Cowboys hammer, and I'm thinking "I have like six hammers". Actually I have three hammers, but it felt like six.
Anyway, I'm at my new house and this hammer made one of the first trips over, during the period where you haven't moved in yet and you're doing all sorts of repairs and so forth. I pulled this out and said to myself, "Self, we're gonna use the Cowboys hammer, because it's a hammer, and we need one".
I pulled nails, staples, ugly weird fasteners out of my floors and walls, hammered down nail pops, and even took apart some molding to get the washer and drier downstairs. This hammer felt really good in my hand. That football grip really makes a difference, and I appreciated a larger grip for my hand. My only real complaint was that the grip will rotate if you apply pulling/ twisting torque on a pulling task. Other than that, it's a solid tool.
