May all your rolls be critical hits Dec 06, 2013
My daughter loved these. My wife complained that she doesn't want me to turn the daughter into a dork like daddy, but I pointed out that she married a dork and that shut her up.

The photos really don't do them justice Feb 25, 2014
These are really pretty! They're slightly translucent with shimmering blue-green sparkles, and they catch the light. The product photo is weirdly grey and gross-looking, don't let it fool you. The silver lettering looks a lot better in person.
Incidentally, some of the photos show the d6 with gold lettering instead of silver, but the lettering on all my dice was silver.

Cute! Jun 10, 2011
By Kristyn Hammond
These dice are so much fun! Quite true to the color pictured, they shimmer ever so slightly in the light. I have several Borealis sets (clear, green, and purple) but I like these ones the best. In fact, as a dice collector with hundreds of sets, these are one of my favorites! Chessex makes amazing products, this set is no exception. They roll well and the silver numbers are clear and easy to read! If you're looking for a nice, solid set of dice, look no further!

Gorgeous set! Dec 02, 2012
By Liz Locksley
This set is so gorgeous, especially in natural light. (Not that my set will ever see natural light again, it's just nice to know.) There are so many colors that are hard to pick up on film. I'd highly recommend this set to another person who really loves pink, but doesn't like it to be 'too much.' It's definitely subtle enough that it's not eye-assaulting like many pink things tend to have a nature to do.

Pretty and fun! Nov 01, 2012
By Marina Swanson
I have had this set since February 2012, so I think it's high time I reviewed it!
Shipping went as expected, package arrived within time frame
easy to roll, a light weight set of plastic dice that are suitable for all ages
color is true to description, except the glitter is easier to see in person. definitely a conversation piece :)
solid edges that arent too sharp, and arent too rounded. just the right amount of smoothness.
a good sized set of dice that is chessex standard
the silver painted numbers can be hard to read
the sides of the d6 are slightly concaved, as if the plastic shrunk after it was taken out of the mold.
after 9 months of moderate usage (3-5 hours of play once per week) the paint is slightly wearing and even chipping off in some places
the corners of the d4 have gradually weakened, they look clouded, like what happens to a clear sheet of plastic when it is bent too many times. (However, I do use this one more often because it is my main spell's damage range. So idk.)
I like this set! It works well for girls AND guys (my current campaign has several new players, so ive been lending out sets, and its so funny to watch the guys roll sparkly pink dice. but they love them too :D) Fun color, pretty good quality for the price. I bought this for my second set to be friends with my translucent teal set. they make a great couple :D
I have had awesome luck with the d20, however, that darned d6 is EVIL. I just dont like how it looks, the painted numbers are too big and look awful, and it has never rolled well for anybody. I think it might be malformed. haha!
I have a hunch the wear and tear is caused by me rolling on hard surfaces(glass tabletop, metal coffee tables, even a taco bell tabletop! My campaign is awesome like that :D). A felt card table, carpet, or padded, velvet-lined dice cup would have probably protected the dice. But whatever. Ain't nobody got time for that.
I gave it 5 stars for educational value because dice in general are a very important part of RPGs, and RPGs are a great way to learn situational rationalizing, complex problem solving, and difficult social interactions. So yay. :D
Definitely recommend this set for casual, fun-loving social gamers who love DnD just for the fun of it. The quality is definitely not up to par for more serious people(these dice are NOT suited for fast, intense gameplay), but i've never taken DnD too seriously :D Good luck with your set!
